Hutchins Academy Senior Receives Roanoke College Offer
CHATTANOOGA, TN - Nkenge Ashford, a distinguished senior at Hutchins Academy and McCallie School, has received an impressive offer of $41,495 from Roanoke College, marking another significant achievement for the academy's student-athletes. Ashford, who excels as a Varsity Lacrosse player, has caught the attention of the prestigious liberal arts institution founded in 1842.
Roanoke College, the second-oldest Lutheran-related college in America, has recognized Ashford's academic and athletic achievements with this substantial offer. The independent, co-educational institution has a long-standing tradition of nurturing well-rounded students who demonstrate excellence both in academics and athletics.
"I am grateful and excited to see what other opportunities come my way," says Ashford, reflecting on this significant milestone in her academic journey.
This offer represents the third scholarship received by a Hutchins Academy senior in just eight days, with the total amount of offers reaching an impressive $277,967. Ms. Mott, who has been instrumental in guiding these students toward their collegiate aspirations, couldn't contain her pride: "They might not always see us coming, but they certainly know when we arrive. Three seniors, eight days, nearly $278,000 in scholarships - that's what happens when you believe in students who are willing to put in the work. While some might overlook us, our students keep proving what's possible when talent meets opportunity and determination.
